- Depends what you're transferring. I get 2-3Kbytes/sec when transferring stuff
- that's already been compressed (i.e., zipfiles), but I usually get double that
- rate when transferring uncompressed stuff. V.42 compression can't compress
- any further what's already maximally compressed, but it sure kicks in nicely
- on uncompressed stuff.
